The term ‘somatic’ is defined as; relating to the body. The term ‘therapy’ means; to attend to, or take care of. Seen this way, somatic therapy, very simply means, ’to attend to the body.’ Somatic therapy can also be described as a healing modality that focuses on the mind and body connection.
